First-time applicants need to register, pay the ₱155 fee (₱130 clearance + ₱25 service fee), schedule an appointment, and visit an NBI branch with two valid government-issued IDs for biometrics capture. For those with an existing clearance issued after 2014, renewal can be done through the eGovPH app in as little as 5 minutes . However, applicants should be aware of the “HIT” warning—if your name matches someone else’s in the system, manual verification takes 5-8 working days.
