Aston Martin Rapide shifting rough – anyone know a gearbox specialist in Abu Dha
I’ve got a 2012 Rapide that’s started hesitating between second and third gear, and sometimes it gives a harsh thump when downshifting at low speeds, which makes me nervous because I’ve heard these ZF transmissions are generally solid but can get expensive if ignored. A friend suggested I look for Aston Martin transmission gearbox repair specialists who actually rebuild these units instead of just swapping in a refurbished one from somewhere else, but I’m struggling to find a shop in Abu Dhabi that has experience with the older Touchtronic boxes. Has anyone here had their Aston’s transmission serviced or repaired locally, and did it solve the problem without costing a fortune? I’m hoping it’s just a fluid and filter change, but I want someone who knows what to look for before I end up with a bigger bill.
